💻 Primary Responsibilities

🛠 System & Program Support

  • Provide technical support for the operation, maintenance, testing, and modification of assigned systems and programs.
  • Review system and component performance, and recommend changes regarding operation, maintenance, or testing.
  • Prepare, review, and approve engineering documentation, such as calculations, specifications, analysis, drawings, evaluations, etc.

📈 Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Utilize software to proactively trend for incipient conditions and prevent equipment failure.
  • Optimize reliability versus financial effectiveness by ownership and advocacy of planned maintenance scope.
  • Perform monthly system walk-downs to maintain awareness of system condition/performance and obtain data for performance monitoring.

🛡 Safety & Compliance

  • Prepare and review complex safety evaluations and significant hazards reviews for plant repairs and conditions.
  • Review and evaluate industry documentation and event reports for relevant application to STP and identify appropriate corrective actions.
  • Monitor and audit overall compliance programs.

🤝 Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate work efforts within engineering, operations, maintenance, or external vendors to collect and interpret data and implement recommended resolutions.
  • Provide input to at-power and outage schedules, including prioritization, logic work grouping, etc., for work being scheduled.
  • Periodically observe maintenance work/testing and operations being performed on key system components.
  • Champion major maintenance and modifications that impact plant reliability or generation and ensure these items are taken through the funding process.
