🚀 Role Summary

The Senior IT Systems Administrator role at UNIDO involves providing technical support to Windows-related hardware and software, managing user accounts, and ensuring secure and efficient IT services.   • Plan, implement, and support new Endpoint Deployment Tool
  • Plan and implement major rollouts of Windows software to all user PCs
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and EntraID
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Defender, Intune, Exchange, EntraID, and Identity Management
  • Support all aspects of IT Security Operations in the area of responsibility
  • Administer Active Directory, including group policy, sites and services, DNS, and DHCP
  • Migrate applicable Group Policies from Active Directory to cloud-based systems
  • Manage and maintain Windows servers, including installation, security management, configuration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, updates, patches, etc.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve technical issues and improve system performance

🎓 Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • Completed higher secondary education, high school diploma, or equivalent is required.
  • Relevant certifications in IT Service Management and Information Security, such as ITIL and ISO27001, are desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, and/or Support is required.
  • Relevant professional certifications, particularly Microsoft Certified, are desirable.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management are an asset.
  • Good organizing skills and ability to prioritize work assignments, organize own schedule, perform routine work independently, act proactively, meet deadlines, adapt to changing demands while following established procedures are required.
  • Strong customer relations skills with the ability to analyze incidents and provide problem resolution support in a timely and efficient manner are required.
  • Knowledge of office productivity applications (such as MS Office products) and a good understanding of computer systems, remote connectivity, and mobile devices are required.
  • Experience in using any professional IT service management tool such as TopDesk, JIRA, OTRS, SolarWind, Service Now, etc. is required.
  • Experience in IT assets management and software deployment tools is desirable.
  • Experience in Account and Policy Management in Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 is required.

Languages

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Fluency and/or working knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
