💻 Primary Responsibilities

🌐 Cloud Enablement Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team of Technology Specialists, overseeing I&E strategies and Public Cloud forums.
  • Provide overall team leadership, training, coaching, development, succession, recruitment, and resource management.
  • Execute on engineering strategy related to the introduction of tools and automation of build, test, release, and configure activities across Application, Platform, and Infrastructure.

🔒 Risk Management & Governance

  • Manage resource requirements, assignment, and project milestones to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversee business expenses and FTE plans, ensuring controls are in place to monitor and manage expenses effectively.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of knowledge and expertise in own area, staying current with emerging industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in the external market.
  • May interact with governance and control groups, such as regulatory and operational risk, compliance, and audit, to provide subject matter expertise and consult on risk issues related to engineering technology and tools.

📈 Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Identify and effectively manage stakeholder engagement and impacts across the enterprise.
  • Engage executive stakeholders appropriately to review progress and obtain input, validation, and approval of key decisions.
  • Anticipate client needs to influence the development of innovative engineering solutions and business strategies.
  • Provide cloud data and insights to executives for regulatory meetings and other ad-hoc requests.
  • Develop and provide cloud section for Quarterly Board Updates.

📝 Operating Model Management

  • Maintain and improve TD integrated Cloud Operating Model.
  • Communicate with multiple operating model stakeholders across TD to ensure the operating model properly reflects current processes and functions and obtain their approvals for updated contents on a semi-annual basis.
  • Reach out to new stakeholders as TD cloud evolves to discover and record new processes and functions related to cloud.
  • Facilitate Cloud Operating Group (COG) sessions, providing cloud stakeholders with a view into cloud strategy, visions, and roadmaps, and maintain a roadmap of topics and agendas.
  • Develop and share CCoE cloud insights through Technology Operating Group (TOG).
  • Work with cloud stakeholders (EA, PP, FinOps, Risk) to bring additional important cloud topics and insights to TOG.
  • Provide cloud perspective to TD Cloud Strategy.
  • Respond to regulatory and risk management requests related to CCoE operation, artifacts, and routine.

🎓 Education & Experience

  • University or post-graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or architecture.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or related fields.
  • Strong academic background with a focus on computer science, engineering, or architecture.

🔧 Technical Skills

  • Cloud Platforms: Working knowledge of Google, Azure, and AWS Cloud Platforms, ideally with relevant architecture certifications.
  • Engineering Tools & Methodologies: Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Pair Programming, and/or Test-Driven Development.
