π» Primary Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Responsible for delivering projects from a technical perspective, ensuring timely execution according to customer and partner expectations.
- Equipment Commissioning: Secure that Commissioning of DWDM and Packet IP equipment, including node power-up, DCN setup, shelf and card commissioning, optical transport, and optical switch commissioning are performed with the right technical skill and on time.
- Network Management: Understand and operate with NMS and/or Optical Management Systems, understand service setup per node and network from 10G to 400G traffic transmission, and perform end-to-end network service and protection switch setup and testing.
- Network Integration: Understand network integration testing with 3rd party vendor optical equipment and secure documentation of all commissioning procedures and test results as required by the customer.
- Collaboration: Work in conjunction with local Optical Design Specialist Engineer on specific customer requirements and expand skills and knowledge across Ribbonβs Neptune Packet platforms.
