🚀 Role Summary

  • Maintain and repair heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts at EquipmentShare's rental facility in Odenton, MD.
  • Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure equipment is in optimal condition for rentals and customer use.
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment.

💻 Primary Responsibilities

  • Safety and Maintenance: Practice safe job practices, maintain equipment in optimal condition, and perform regular inspections.
  • Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on various rental and customer equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain complete and timely paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed on a daily basis.
  • Training: Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
  • Pick-up and Delivery: Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts as required.
  • Field Service: Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment when required.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

🎓 Skills & Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must own tools applicable to the position.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.

  • Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Salary Range

  • $18 - $43 per hour. Factors including past experience and location may affect the final compensation rate.
