💻 Primary Responsibilities

🔑 Partnerships and Coordination

  • Analyze political, socio-economic, and protection situations to identify strategic areas for UNFPA interventions.
  • Contribute to resource mobilization efforts and advocacy with government counterparts.

📊 Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Coordinate with partners to ensure monitoring systems are properly designed and that data collection and analysis from field visits are coordinated and standardized across the program.
  • Support program partners in formulating Terms of Reference and evaluation designs, ensuring evaluations meet high professional standards.
  • Lead the assessment and production of the “Voices from Sudan” in consultation with field staff and the GBV sub-sector information management specialist.
  • Analyze and report on program and project progress, using existing monitoring and evaluation tools and introducing new mechanisms and systems.
  • Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of GBV-related projects/activities through applying existing procedures and mechanisms and through the development of new approaches and tools.
  • Supervise the preparation of annual and other periodic work plans for implementing partners funded under UNFPA and monitor and evaluate the progress according to the project monitoring plan.
  • Compile periodic progress and annual reports addressing UNFPA’s Result-Based Management approach, donor’s requirements, including substantive analysis of related issues and way forward.

Education:

  • Advanced Degree in social science, political science, gender, humanitarian affairs, public health, or other relevant areas

Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in GBV in emergencies with experience in program planning, implementation, and monitoring in a context of results-based management and programming.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Gender and GBV in the context of Sudan, thorough understanding of the social, economic, and political context of the country and region.
  • Proven technical and managerial skills in the development of project proposals, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of GBV programs in humanitarian settings.
