💻 Primary Responsibilities

Data Collection & Meter Reading:
- Review service orders to determine locations where meter readings need to be performed.
- Read water meters and enter data in route logs.
- Inspect meters and connections to determine defects, faults, and damages.
Maintenance & Repairs:
- Repair and/or replace broken water mains and service lines.
- Assist with the maintenance and repairs of water/wastewater systems.
- Communicate problems with meters or incorrect readings to the Project Manager.
Utility Services:
- Operate a company vehicle to conduct meter readings for assigned routes.
- Connect and disconnect utility services as directed.
Landscape Maintenance:
- Perform general landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, clean-ups, pruning, and other typical landscape maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that all data in the utility log book is maintained correctly and kept updated.
Other Duties:
- Perform other related duties as directed by the Project Manager or supervisor.

🎓 Skills & Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED

Experience:

2-3 years of experience in the water/wastewater, public works, maintenance, or servicing industry (preferred)

Required Skills:

Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records
Ability and willingness to work independently
Ability to understand water systems and concepts
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform sustained physical labor, including heavy lifting and working above your head and below your feet
Neat and clean appearance, courteous and friendly with the general public, and willing to be a part of a team
Must be available to work overtime and 'on-call' as needed
