💻 Primary Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management: Build, maintain, and update AWS infrastructure using tools and processes developed by the team.
System Monitoring: Monitor system performance using DataDog and other tools, identify optimization points, and implement system changes to address problems.
Technical Support: Troubleshoot issues related to Raintree applications, databases, operating systems, network configurations, VPNs, and other infrastructure components within the AWS environment.
Application Support: Support application environments running serverless and/or containerized workloads in AWS.
Documentation: Create runbook documentation for other engineers to follow when addressing system problems.
Collaboration: Work with developer teams to support their projects and address any technical issues they encounter.

🎓 Skills & Qualifications

Education:

Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Experience:

2+ years of system administration experience related to Windows operating systems, ideally running in AWS.
2+ years of experience administering Active Directory and related structures.
2+ years of experience related to MySQL database administration.
Experience supporting AWS or other cloud environments utilizing common tooling and scripting.
Experience with supporting Windows systems leveraging PowerShell or another common scripting language.
Experience using GitHub or another similar git-based software version control system.
Experience supporting applications and/or users in an application environment.
Experience delivering and troubleshooting networking topologies including subnetting, routing, IP addressing, and VPN usage.
