💻 Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain Data Center Infrastructure: Operate, maintain, and coordinate repairs to critical and non-critical facility components, including HVAC, electrical infrastructure, plumbing, UPS, fire control, and suppression systems.
- Perform Maintenance Work Orders: Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders, troubleshoot and repair auxiliary equipment, and make minor changes to mechanical, electrical, and specialized systems as directed.
- Monitor Building Management System (BMS): Monitor and resolve BMS alarm issues, and administer the pre-approval process for vendors and visitors.
- Documentation and Safety: Author and review documentation for accuracy, identify Single Points of Failure (SPOFs), and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate and Troubleshoot: Collaborate within the Equinix Operations organization to troubleshoot and resolve moderate to difficult facility issues, and perform other duties as assigned.
🎓 Skills & Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Demonstrated commercial or military experience troubleshooting, maintaining, or installing HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or comparable electro-mechanical systems.
Required Skills:
- Experience with HVAC, electrical, and refrigeration systems
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret electrical one-line diagrams
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience working in a critical facility/mission-critical or regulated environment
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, ladder work, lifting, and manual dexterity
- Familiarity with safe work practices and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience maintaining large-scale UPS's
- Experience with Maximo CMMS, Building Management Systems (BMS), and/or Coupa purchasing system

Salary Range: $67,000 to $101,000 per year (targeted pay range for the listed location)
